Abstract

Monografie s názvem Psychologie terorismu a radikalizace: jak se z beránků stávají vlci se zaměřila na přiblížení dvou vzájemně provázaných jevů - terorismu a radikalizačního procesu. Terorismus byl popsán jako prostředek a strategie teroristických organizací, skupin i jedinců, který má jasně identifikovatelné projevy v podobě konkrétních teroristických činů, jehož účelem je vyvolat strach u veřejnosti. Téma terorismu popsalo psychologické mechanismy, koncepty a teorie, kterými je možné tento jev vysvětlit, případně alespoň představit jeho komplikované dimenze. Zároveň byly představeny jednotlivé typy a subtypy terorismu, což je i důvodem, proč v současnosti neexistuje obecně přijímaná definice terorismu. Kniha se také zaměřila na strategie a taktiky, kterých využívají teroristické organizace.The monograph with the original title "Psychologie terorismu aradikalizace: jak se zberánků stávají vlci" [The psychology of terrorism and radicalisation: how lambs become wolves] offers a detailed analysis of the two mutually interconnected phenomena - terrorism and the process of radicalisation. Terrorism is described as a tool and strategy of terrorist organisations, groups and individuals, with clearly identifiable manifestations taking the form of individual terrorist attacks aimed at raising fear among the general public. The chapter on terrorism further describes the psychological mechanisms, concepts and theories trying to explain this phenomenon, or at least show its various complicated dimensions. With that is introduces the individual types and subtypes of terrorism as a reason for absence of a generally accepted single definition of terrorism. The book also describes the individual strategies and tactics applied by terrorist organisations.
